The History of Caramel Shortcake

Caramel shortcake is a delicious sweet Scottish treat that has been baked by the Lightbody family for 4 generations.

Whilst the recipe remains the same, the production methods have changed
considerably and the product is now made in Hamilton, Scotland by state of the art, industry-leading equipment.

By June 2009 the recipe had been successfully developed to deliver an 8-month shelf life.

To satisfy the global market a number of product and packaging formats have been developed. These include a gift tin, cardboard and film outers, mini bites and fingers.

Lightbody Caramel shortcake is now available in Europe, Canada, Japan and Australia.

2011 will see launch into USA
