With more than three decades’ experience in the bakery industry, Neil, alongside Martin, is one of the founding members of Lightbody Ventures. He is responsible for creating a strategic vision and managing the company’s product licensing strategy, with involvement at every point in the launch process. Neil worked his way from apprentice baker and confectioner to a number of senior positions within the food industry, including product development, operations, sales and brand licensing. Neil spends a significant part of the year in the USA, closely managing and developing relationships with partners including Hershey. Career highlights include being awarded The Queen’s Award for Innovation, as well as securing the first order for Lightbody Ventures in January 2010.
